Say hello to my newest investment piece, this leopard print leather biker jacket from Asos.It has a gorgeous horse-hair effect that really makes it stand out. I'm in love! It's was a bit pricey at €200, but you have to treat yourself sometimes though! Its an investment, and I can see it being a stand-out piece in my wardrobe for years to come. Diet Coke Street Style Search!

For those of you in Galway City tomorrow, get yourselves down to the Spanish Arch for some pampering fun, courtesy of Diet Coke! Presenter Lottie Ryan and Diet Coke's pamper pod crew are coming to Galway in search of some of its most stylish people to snap! Lottie is currently on the hunt for Irelands most stylish person, and it could be you! The chosen pictures will be competing against more from around the country, to be crowned Ireland's Street Style Star! So be sure to get your hippest threads on, pop down and say hi to her! I had the pleasure of meeting Lottie at the U Magazine Highstreet Style Awards two weeks ago and was interviewed by her, and she was an absolute delight to chat to, so I will definitely be going for a look!

Now, if the prospect of getting your picture taken in the hopes of being crowned Irelands Most Stylish doesn't tickle your fancy, then the Pamper Pods surely will! Along with having chilled Diet Coke on offer, there will be false eyelashes available and, wait for it,  glitter tattoos!! What more could a girl want eh?!

I'ts on at approximately 1pm at the Spanish Arch, check out the Diet Coke Facebook page for more details:

Hope to see some of you Galway fashionistas there!

Presenting at the Feline Fatale Fashion Show

Here is a  little post on some presenting work I did recently, at the Feline Fatale Fashion Show that took place in the Galway Bay Hotel, and showcased the best that Galway's independent shops and designers.
All the proceeds went to the Galway Cat Rescue, a very deserving charity. I was delighted to be given the MCing position, along with friend and fellow blogger Byron Yeates. Having only ever been a model at fashion shows, making the move to MCing was a daunting task, but one I was determined to undertake! Thankfully it went really well, it was little frightening at times, but overall a wonderful experience, and something I would do again in a heartbeat. The show was a spectacular success, with huge amounts of funding raised for the GCR team. Here are some shots of the night for you all!
(Photos by Peter Fedrizzi and Andrea Zipoli)

After all her hard work coordinating the entire show, a very happy Sarah looks on.
Leigh, one of the male models in the show.
Some amazing hair action going on back stage by the Momento gang
                           Models getting their makeup done.

Two beauties, Tanith and Emma on the catwalk.
Myself and Byron doing our job, I'm doing my best not to wee myself.

Highstreet Style Awards

Im delighted to announce that I will be attending the Umagazine Highstreet Style Awards in Dublin this evening. I was surprised and delighted when I saw an invite in my inbox, including a guest pass!
Well in my opinion there's no better man to have as arm-candy on the night then the dashing Byron Yeates!

Here's all the deets:

Umagazine Highstreet Style Awards is back for a third year and bigger than ever. The U Highstreet Style Awards in association with Diet Coke are back for the third year, with what promises to be an even bigger and more glamorous event than ever before. Taking place in the Mansion House on Friday October 14th the awards will be presented by U Magazine editor Jen Stevens alongside U Magazine publisher and star of RTE’s Dragons Den, Norah Casey. Accolades will be presented to the highstreet stores who are judged to be the best of the best. A total of 12 categories can be voted on and among them are best jeans, best shoes, best accessories and best value.
Public voting had been taking place over the last number of weeks and the race the Overall Best Highstreet Store is heating up. The awards will feature a fashion show with all the trends for the Autumn / Winter season ahead, followed by the awards ceremony.

Seen as there is an some amazing prizes on offer for best dressed lady on the night, I'm going to dress to impress! I will be wearing a wonderful black and white floaty maxi skirt by the amazing Harlow&Harvey label, styled with a simple black high street top with an exposed plunging back. To make the outfit really stand-out I am wearing a multi-chain necklase backwards, so rather than being at the front, the chains cascade down my exposed back! Im really happy with the outfit and cant wait to put it on and have a good time for myself! Byron will be wearing the most DIVINE vintage Yves Saint Laurent shirt, a neutral colored blazer, and grey chinos.... oh la la!!

Better pop off now, lots to do before we get the bus, very excited... A night of fun and folly awaits!

Also Byron is picking up a snazzy new camera today, so we'll be going mad with the photos, don't worry!

Peace,
Wild Child,
x

Photo Diary // My Week in Pictures

A few snaps of life lately, though the eyes of my trusty htc...
  1. my new 3DS and Zelda game, which has been eating up most of my free time, a gift from Yoseph for our 2 year anniversary.... SO FREAKIN GOOD
2. The lovely Laura and Liza, on the set of a feature movie we were all doing some extra work on called "7 Songs for Amy".
 3. Polaroid shots for Irish agencies, as well as Leni's Models in London, I am now signed to Assets Models Agency in Dublin, woo-hoo!
 4. Some recent nail experimenting. I present to you: the odd one out! If only I had my hands on a black sharpie, I wanted to do a little doodle on the white one. Maybe a smiley face, or an upside down cross... ooooooh intense!
5. Snakeskin boots in New Look. Give meh.
6. The lovely Byron, after cooking us all a Sunday roast, complete with the most delicious roast chicken, even though he's a veggie. Bless that boy.
7. A package of lovely tights that Pretty Polly sent me, Yippee!
8. Some of my Bargain Bar-Boot Booty (now there's a tongue twister!) from the White Elephant Bar Boot Sale on Sunday
9. The many faces of Yoseph Sheridan.... We went to Crackbird on monday, with the intention of eating a whole chicken each. We failed, but had a damn good time trying :)
10. The most uh-mazing lemonade
11. Empty spaces make for lovely photos

That's all for now folks, I  really like photo diaries, I think its a really nice way to keep people up to speed, and I love seeing them on other blogs, but what do you guys think?!

White Elephant Bar Boot

Some photos from the first ever White Elephant BarBoot Sale, an event myself and Harlow&Harvey  designer Sarah organised, which took place last Sunday. Held by The Kings Head pub in Galway's city centre, the White Elephant Sale (as they used to be called back in the day) hosted a wonderful mishmash of crafters, vintage and pre-loved clothing sellers flogging their wares, and for a very good price mind you! Feeling that it was about time I downsized my overflowing wardrobe, I managed to shift a heap of clothes, shoes and accessories to our bargain-hungry visitors. We were delighted to have amongst our sellers the wonderful Sinead of Cotton Face Vintage and fellow blogger Dani of Madam Snapper. We also had a visit from the lovely Lia of Rags & Retrospect, and not to mention the talented Saibh Egan, who popped in specially to take all of these gorgeous photos, thanks Saibh!

The day was a huge success and we hope to begin planning another one soon, feel free to like our facebook page here to keep updated, and if you would like to participate in our next one, PLEASE dont hesitate to let us know, the more the merrier!

Peace,
WildChild,
