Firstly, I have to apologise for the lack of posting in the past week or so, I have just been so busy with my Stylist job in iClothing, and the run up to Christmas has been especially crazy! As much as I'm loving my new job and how busy it can be, I am seriously looking forward to some time off at Christmas, I can't wait to just chill with family and friends, and of course catch up on my blogging, I have so many posts planned that I want to share with you all!

Now, lets talk about the outfit! This is another party outfit for the festive season; two simple pieces made that bit more exciting by the addition of some fun accessories. Too many accessories you say? Never!! This tulle midi skirt is an absolute favourite of mine, which I found on eBay for next to nothing, you can find a direct link to it in one of my recent eBay bargain posts here. Worn with a plain navy tee, I decided to dress the outfit up with this dimante clutch which I was gifted by the lovely people over at, and I think it adds the perfect amount of sparkle to the outfit, and I can see myself wearing it a lot over the party season! I also love this one from Asos, and this one with beautiful embellishment from River Island.

As this year is coming to a close, I have found myself looking back at 2013 and all the wonderful things that have happened, and I just can't help but get so excited for 2014! I have a some projects that I have been working that I cannot WAIT to share with you all, as well as one or two exciting announcements in the next few weeks. I know we never really know what's in store for us in life, but I plan to continue to work hard and stay focused, and I am sure that, along with a positive attitude (and a bit of luck) will help me achieve anything I set my mind to. If 2014 it is anything like the year I've had, then I will be a very happy girl indeed. I am already planning a more in-depth "Year in Review"post in the next week or so, so be sure to keep an eye out for that, it's something I really enjoy doing every year.

I don't expect I'll get  the chance to blog again before Christmas, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support over the years, and to wish you all the warmest, happiest of Christmases, I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating with your loved ones.

Outfit Post & Mini Review of the Michael Kors "Selma" Handbag

Pants & Blazer : H&M // Crop Top : Similar here // Heels : Zara
Necklace : eBay (Similar here) // Bag : Michael Kors "Selma"

All photos by Julia from Wonderfulife

I hope you all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend! Mine was absolutely fantastic, it was the perfect mix of partying, catching up with friends and family, and of course some chilling in the sunshine. I usually work bank holiday weekends, so this one was a special treat for me. It's also my last proper weekend in Galway for a while, so I wanted to make the most out of it.

So to get back into the swing of things I've decided to do a mini-review for you guys!

This post is the debut of my newest obsession, my first real "grown- up" handbag; the Michael Kors "Selma". I picked up this little beauty a few weeks ago in Brown Thomas, after falling in love with it in-store.

The Selma has alot to boast abot. A classic shape, functional details (long and short straps on a bag are a big plus for me) a modest yet pretty logo, and is made from sturdy saffiano leather.
The interior has just enough pockets and zipped compartments to fit all my bits and pieces, and it also has a handy little strap with a clip to attach your keys onto. It fits everything I need, but isn't oversized, so I don't end up filling it with stuff I don't need. (we're all guilty of it girls!)

The Selma holds it's shape incredibly well, and doesn't slouch at all.  I've also been told that the sturdy saffiano leather will keep the bags structure for a long time. Because saffiano leather is pre-treated, you don't need to use any protector spray on it, as it is more damage and stain-resistant than regular leather. Saffiano leather is typical of much more expensive handbag brands (such as the Prada "Saffiano" Tote)

Colour Options:
The Selma is available in a variety of colours including black, white, navy and even some more brighter hues such as pink and orange. I only had the choice of navy or tan in the Galway Brown Thomas branch, but I was happy to go with the tan shade, as I knew I could wear it with more outfits, and it had a more classic look to it.

The regular retail price of this bag is €360. A big chunk of change, undoubtedly.  However, my boyfriend worked in Brown Thomas at the time and won a special discount incentive (cause he's awesome) and so was able to got me the Selma for half it's original price, which brought it down to €180! (AMAZING, I KNOW*)

Disclaimer: I understand that €180 is still quite a lot of money, but I wanted to treat myself for all my hard work recently, (both personal and professional) and for a bag of that quality that I would be using everyday ~ I felt it was a great investment.

After using it nearly every day for over two weeks now, I can happily say that it is everything I need in  a daily handbag. Its the perfect mix of functionality and beauty, and I feel that bit more sophisticated when it's on my arm. Overall, I'm delighted with the quality, and even without the huge discount I was lucky enough to get, I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for something classic and ladylike,  yet extremely practical.

You can Hype this look on Lookbook here, or by using the button below:

I haven't done all that many reviews in the past, so I'd love to hear what you thought of this one, and if you'd like to see more reviews on this blog. ( Any suggestions you may have are very welcome also!)

Ps: For those of you who loved my Bart Simpson printed denim shirt in my last outfit post (see here) you can get it on sale from the Romwe mid-season sale that's currently happening ~ check it out here.

Outfit Post: There's no Hope with Dope.

Top : AxParis // Necklace : eBay // Skirt : eBay //
Boots : Jeffrey Campbell // Hat : eBay // Sunglasses : eBay

Soooo pretty much everything I'm wearing in this look is from eBay, apart from my trusty Tardy boots, and my wonderful new "DOPE" slogan tee from AxParis, which I absolutely love.

Most people know that "Dope" means cool (or weed) in American slang, but it also means "idiot" in Irish slang ~ which makes me wonder if some people who don't get the American reference think that I'm essentially calling myself an eeejit (or maybe a dope-peddler ?!). Anyways, the thought makes me giggle a little when I wear this top, which must be a good thing, right?

I also think this slogan-top is a refreshing change from the hugely popular (dare I say TOO popular?) "Geek" and "Nerd" tees that are all over the place right now, would you agree? It also comes in white and grey, and you can get them (and lots of other awesome threads) here.

Also, I think my eBay addiction is becoming more and more evident as these outfit posts continue. I just can't help it, its my favourite spot for amazingly cheap, on-trend pieces.

Once you get past the shipping time (it can take up to a MONTH for your item to be delivered from some parts of Asia ~ painful !) and perfect your searching and trawling skillz, it becomes a fantastic resource.

If anyone is trying eBay out for the first time and feels lost, feel free drop me an email (my contact details are here) or you can anonymously as me anything via my tumblr here. I have been using eBay it for over 7 nears now (yikes!) and will happily be your guru :)

P.S: I have provided clickable links to all my bargain eBay finds in the above outfit description, shoud you wish to check them out or shop them yourself :)

P.P.S: In case you were wondering where I the title of my post from ~ anyone remember this? Haha :P

Outfit Post: Fresh off the Runway

Jumper : Queens Wardrobe // Skirt : eBay // Hat : Topshop // Boots : Jeffrey Campbell

This is my first outfit post since moving back to blogger (read more about that here) so I thought I'd better make it a good one! How beautiful is this jumper from Queens Wardrobe? I wouldn't usually pick up something this colourful and girly, but I just thought this was the cutest thing ever! The print reminds me of the uh-mazing embellished Balmain jackets that were showcased a few seasons ago, and also super soft and comfy, which is always a plus! :) Im also wearing a skirt that I picked up for super-cheap on eBay, I had really wanted to jump on the pleated-leather-skirt bandwagon, as they always look fantastic on people, and they seem like a really versatile piece in your wardrobe! I am already planning all the outfits Im going to style with it  ~ lame much?!

I have to dash off now Im afraid, I'm in the middle of running a bath for myself to ease my poor tired muscles, I've been hitting the fittness classes like a fiend this week with my sisters, and Im worn out!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,

Peace & Love,

Outfit post: A Sprinkling of Baroque

Dress: Sugarlips // Turban : // Brooch : A-wear // Boots : River Island

I have been waiting to show you all this absolutely beautiful dress from Sugarlips for sometime now, but since the weather's not exactly getting any warmer, I figured I should just bit the bullet and show you guys now! I absolutely love the  embroidery on the sleeves, the attention to detail is fantastic, and it arrived packaged beautifully in the sweetest little box (which I'm totally keeping for my knick-knacks by the way.) If anyones interested in checking them out, just click the Sugarlips tab in my sidebar and you can get 20% off your first order :)
I decided to stye the dress with a lovely Turban from, upon which I attached a little brooch to make it a bit more fun. My boots are a recent purchase from my trip to Dublin (read about it here) and I know they are going to be a regular feature in my outfit posts! :)
Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

Outfit Post: "Live Fast, Die Young"

Jacket: DaisyStreet // T-shirt : The Silver Factory // Chain : H&M //
HighTops : DaisyStreet // Jeans: Hand-me-down from my sisters!

Here is the debut of another recent buy from that I'm absolutely in love with! Im sure you've all seen from my recent posts now how I discovered this amazing new online shop, which is really good value and has really amazing on-trend pieces, and and these high tops are one of the things I bought recently which I have been waiting to show you all. I absolutely love high-tops, so when I saw the cool animal print on these I had to have them. They were extremely reasonable in price too, at just under £20, so It wasn't even that much for a splurge really  :) My jacket is also from DaisyStreet, as you may have seen in this outfit post, and I am getting so much wear out of it, its one of my favourite buys of late. There are a number of other amazing things on their website that I am just itching to buy, you can check out their new arrivals section here to see for yourself :) Im also wearing a new purchase from The Silver Factory, this "Live Fast Die Young" t-shirt. I love how versatile and cool printed white t-shirts can be, I think everyone should have a few in their wardrobe, as they're so easy to dress up or down, depending on your mood! Plus, given that The Silver Factory has some amazing designs and is an Irish company, I thought it was important to show my support! You can check out their other designs here. I also uploaded this look to Lookbook, so feel free to Hype it here, I'd be only delighted sure :)

Halloween // Fancy Dress Outfit Post ~ What I dressed up as!

I had my first Halloween outing over the weekend so I thought you guys might like to see what I dressed up as! I had no time to take proper photos so apologies for these rather crummy iPhone snaps! Since my real costume is planned for Wednesday night (Halloween night) I had to pull something together for Saturday, as I was heading out to celebrate my good friend Emily's birthday. I decided to dress as a superhero as not only is it an extremely and inexpensive costume to put together, but I absolutely LOVE superheroes too, and have done since I was a kid!

As you can see Im still having a love-affair with my new Motel Rocks Gabby Sequin dress, and it really was the perfect addition to this costume. I also picked up some cool silvery material from Hickeys (my local habberdashery) for a few euro, and threw on a wig I had bought in Penneys a while ago. (I'm pretty sure they're still stocking wigs so get your but in there if you need some for Halloween!) I also decided to pick up matching silver cuffs in Penneys to complete the look.  When I was up in my room searching for the perfect pair of tights to wear, I stumbled across this old mask of mine, which was an absolute jackpot, as It finished the costume of perfectly! Just in case anyone's wondering, I choose "Lady Sparkle" as my Superhero name, and my special power was Telekinesis, (ie the power to move things with your mind) and my secret weapon was my silver Invisibility Cloak!

I had an absolute blast, and I was so happy with how my last minute costume turned out ~I love Halloween!!! I'll be dressing up again on Friday, so I'll fill you guys in on that when I get the chance, and I'll try to take some better photos too! :)

I hope everyone is enjoying the Halloween festivities, I'd really love to know what everyone else is dressing up as, feel free to let me know in the comment box below!

Oh and don't forget, if you want to snap up my beautiful Gabby Sequin Dress at a major 30% off, or anything else from Motel Rocks at 30% off, I have can offer my readers a special discount code up until Halloween (the 31st)! Just follow the link here and enter the code "WILDCHILDCIARA" at the checkout! Simples! :D

Thats all for now folks, stay tuned for Wednesdays costume ~ it's gonna be good! xxx Ciara   Ps: Here is a photo of my boyfriend Yoseph's costume, he went as Millhouse!  I had such a laugh helping him get ready, I got covered in yellow face-paint!

Custom-made phone cover from Fionnuala Bourke Designs.

Most people that know me, are aware that Im very succeptible to a little dose of tack now and again. I love glitter, I love crystals, I love bright colours, and I love Unicorns. So when I saw some the phone covers that Fionnuala Bourke has been designing recently, I was completely sold. Fionnuala found success in the realm of fashion design, and more recently has begun to branch out into costomisation projects, with iPhone and iPad covers being her most popular requests. With a vast range of the delightful little trinkets to choose from, the extremely talented Fionnuala will use industrial strength glue and a few handy tools to lovingly design your own one-of-a-kind phone cover, using your choice of pieces and lettering.

Having found it extremely difficult to decide exactly what kind of look I wanted, (there really is SO much to choose from) I decided to go for a little bit of everything, and boy did Miss Bourke let her imagination run wild! She combined a healthy smattering of crystals with a fantastic pink "goo" effect that drips over the sides of the phone. (and serves as a handy grip, i'll have you know) She also incorporated skulls, studs, music notes, My Little Ponies (WIN!) and some other delightful bits and pieces. My favourite part about the cover has to be the lettering though,  it says "Wild Child" on the bottom in gold lettering :D It really is perfect!

Fionnuala has a wonderful selection of pre-made phone covers, as well as  fantastic price range of customising options to suit every budget. Be sure to check out her Facebook page to see all of her other amazing designs, and some of the custom pieces she has created for some big Irish names and celebrities. I guarantee you, it's a whole lotta eye candy.
